That bitch, how dare she not save it fo r me in a climate controlled garage.
She says she got rid of it because the sunroof got left open in the rain and they could never quite get the musty smell out of the car afterwards.
Also turns out my u ncle had a bright orange Opel GT and a Chevelle with shag carpeting in the 70's.

CRX’s were fantastic. The last new car that I bought was a 1991 CRX DX. Absolutely loved that car. Sold it
in 1995 to help finance my move to Boston. Miss it to this day!

Y ou are the reason she doesn’t have it anymore - shame on you!
(In all fairness, I am the reason my mother doesn’t have a cherry 67 MGB gt right now...)

If it makes you feel better, my mom had a ‘95 Mazda 323F V6 identical to this when I was born. She had it until we moved to the US in ‘01.

She’s only saying that to make you feel better.
We all know the REAL reason is because on YOU!!!

I bought one right after I graduated high school in 1993. It was almost identical to this one:

My dad apparently had a TR7 before him and my mom got married. I’m never sure what to think about that. A CRX seems infinitely cooler. I mean… a TR7? Have you seen what those things look like?

Moms can be surprising. My mom had a Beetle with a Porsche 912 engine before I was born. Before that, a couple of her cars were a 61 Impala convertible and a 59 Ford retractable. What does she drive now? A white Camry LE. Things change.

I had an ‘85 Si, then a 90 Si. Fantastic fun little cars that were great on gas, too. I did a lot of road trips in the ‘90. Those are two cars I’d sure love to have back. The ‘85 was totaled when I got rear ended. The ‘90 I stupidly traded in on a ‘96 Yukon. I will say, I really liked the Yukon too, though.

That’s better than what I traded mine for. I traded mine for a '91 Mercury Sable. It wasn't even a loaded one, just an LS.

My mom just upgraded from a 2001 Camry to a used Hyundai Genesis. She’s losing it over the extent of improvement.

Shit, my dad had a Harley back in the 1950's. I didn’t learn that until about 10 years ago. I never
even knew he could
ride a motorcycle.

Mine joined when a Ford 3.8 lost a head gasket at 80K. Never looked back. I think it’s a common thing for her generation.

My mom’s Camry seems like the kind of thing that could last forever, but it doesn’t exactly create excitement. A decade in, she still love it though. She’sin her 70s now, and is less wowed with modern tech, as she’s afraid she can’t use it, and almost never ventures more than 50 miles from home anyway.

I feel old, as I predate the CR-X by a few months.
With that said, the first car my dad bought brand new off a dealer lot was a 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302, orange with black striping. He also had a C3 Corvette before children. He later sold the Vette for a.......
....VW Beetle. Oof.
